Petrotrin will take the coming week to analyze a proposal by the OWTU aimed at avoiding a shutdown of the company’s refinery.
The two bodies met today at the Hyatt Regency hotel for three hours and agreed to meet again on Thursday, September 27th.
Between now and then, OWTU President General Ancel Roget says he will be meeting with persons interested in running the facility.
Mr Roget says shutting down the refinery will bring more harm than good to the economy.
Meanwhile, Petrotrin Chairman, Wilfred Espinet says they need more time to analyze the proposal in detail.
