Guidelines approved as Government aims to remove ozone depleting substances

Government has moved to protect the planet by developing national guidelines for the air conditioning and refrigeration sector. According to a release from the Planning Ministry, the guidelines would assist the total phasing out of Ozone Depleting Substances, like hydrochlorofluorocarbons. It says seventy-one refrigeration and air conditioning company representatives, technicians and other stakeholders consulted before the guidelines were approved.

Met Service: Showers expected from Saturday to Monday

Rainfall is expected between Saturday and Monday, with some likely to be heavy at times with a chance of thundershower activity. The Met Service is forecasting more showers on Sunday, due to a low-pressure system in the atmosphere.
