Over 0.5 million visitors for Grenada in 2018

Grenada welcomed more than half a million visitors to its shores in 2018.

According to the Caribbean Tourism Organization, the combined cruise, yachting and stay over arrivals for the island was 528,077 which represents a 12.90% increase from 2017.

It is a record for the country and Patricia Maher, CEO of Grenada Tourism Authority believes it is the result of hard work in lobbying airlines for more flights and the engagement of top cruise brand executives for more ship calls.

The GTA is optimistic about 2019 and is aiming for deeper collaboration with stakeholders to work towards Grenada’s global brand recognition as a premier tourist destination.
