The 54 homes in Moora Heights Settlement, Rio Claro that suffered structural damage due to Tuesday’s earthquake will soon be fixed, with the HDC starting repairs on 10 today.
This was confirmed by Mayaro MP Rushton Paray who says assessments which began yesterday, will continue today as well.
He also outlines some of the issues identified.

Mr Paray says some temporary relocation is being done within the development to facilitate repairs at the affected homes.

The MP is asking residents to call 800-4MRC if their home is affected and technical engineers will be deployed to do the necessary assessments.
He adds that technical officers did checks on the 19 major bridges in the constituency yesterday and all were deemed to be sound.
