‘Thugs of Hindostan’ flops in China

Aamir Khan’s Thugs of Hindostan has failed to impress Chinese audiences, with a poor opening on Friday.

This is now likely to be his first flop in the Chinese market after a string of box office hits.

The actor previously had massive success with 3 Idiots, Dangal and Secret Superstars which won him massive revenues besides a huge fan following.

Thugs of Hindostan raked 10.74 million yuan (about $1.57 million US) at the box office, and according to Chinese movie ticketing platform Maoyan, the movie is may only earn about 96.1 million yuan ($14 million US).

Thugs of Hindostan performed miserably at the Indian box office as well.
