R. Kelly could be facing an investigation in Georgia after the airing of “Surviving R. Kelly”, a Lifetime documentary series that looked at allegations of abuse, predatory behavior and pedophilia against the singer.
According to CNN, an attorney for the family of Joycelyn Savage, one of the women featured in the show, said the Fulton County District Attorney reached out after it aired.
“Surviving R. Kelly” revived scrutiny of longstanding allegations against the R&B singer.
The six-part docu-series featured accounts from accusers, as well as interviews with some Kelly’s close friends, and fellow entertainment colleagues including musician John Legend, and talk-show host Wendy Williams.
Kelly though is dismissing the claims: his lawyer reportedly suggested to Billboard that the allegations are meant to defame his client for personal gain.
