Viral trends are commonplace in today’s world but there’s one that Netflix is not happy about – the #BirdBoxChallenge.
The movie follows Sandra Bullock’s character and her two children who must make it to safety blindfolded (for a pretty good reason… but we won’t tell you in case you haven’t watched it yet).
The subscription service has now tweeted a warning to fans of the movie after reports of people blindfolding themselves and taking on everyday tasks.
There haven’t been many examples of disaster waiting to happen but still… Netflix is not having it.
Can’t believe I have to say this, but: PLEASE DO NOT HURT YOURSELVES WITH THIS BIRD BOX CHALLENGE. We don’t know how this started, and we appreciate the love, but Boy and Girl have just one wish for 2019 and it is that you not end up in the hospital due to memes.
