A biographical drama will be made on the life of Mother Teresa, the founder of Missionaries of Charity.
It will be directed by Seema Upadhyay, who has also penned the script.
According to reports, the cast and crew will feature both Hollywood and Bollywood artistes.
The film has reportedly received the blessing of Sister Prema Mary Pierick, current Superior General of the Missionaries of Charity.
The film will go on floor by the end of this year and will release in 2020.
Mother Teresa was canonized as a Saint by the Catholic Church but was a controversial figure during her life and even after her death.
She was admired for her charitable work and praised and criticized for her opposition to abortion.
She was most criticized though for poor conditions in her houses for the dying, despite millions in annual donations.
Mother Teresa was born on August 26th 1910 in Macedonia and died on September 5th 1997.
She was the recipient of numerous honours including the Nobel Peace Prize in 1979 and the Bharat Ratna in 1980.
