Defence Force personnel who helped in Dominica after Hurricane Maria in 2017 are being assured that their stipends will be paid.

According to National Security Minister Stuart Young, officials who helped with recovery efforts have not been compensated.

The assistance included getting aid collected in T&T to Dominica via coast guard vessels.

Minister Young claims to not know why the process is taking over a year, but assures the money will be paid in the “shortest possible time.”
