Commissioner Griffith charges on despite dehydration

Police Commissioner Gary Griffith checked himself into hospital yesterday for medical exams, after feeling unwell.

Media reports indicate that the Top Cop’s body ‘crashed’ and he had to be re-hydrated with intravenous fluids.

He was discharged after a few hours and is expected to visit the health facility for a follow-up check today.

Despite this, the reports indicate that Commissioner Griffith is well and does not intend to take any leave from his duties.

Mr. Griffith has been in charge of the police service since August last year, leading officers in long hours in an attempt to fight crime in T&T.
