Lawrence reveals emotional reason behind charity football match

Citizens are being urged to come out and support a charity football match this evening at the Hasely Crawford Staduim, kicking off at 7:30.

Being held by National Team Coach Dennis Lawrence and his friends, admission is whatever donation you can make to flood victims.

Mr Lawrence opened up to 103.1FM News about the personal moment that prompted his action.

Tonight, there will be two teams – Relief and Hope captained by former Strike Squad member Clayton Morris and Lawrence himself.

Some of the persons expected to play are Russell Latapy, Clayton Ince, Arnold Dwarika, Stern John and Kevon Cooper, along with athletes from several other sporting disciplines.
