Irrfan Khan diagnosed with rare tumour

Irrfan Khan has been diagnosed with a neuroendocrine tumor.

The actor, known worldwide for roles in “Life Of Pi,” “Slumdog Millionaire” and “The Amazing Spider-Man,” first revealed earlier this month that he had “a rare disease.”

At the time, he asked fans not to speculate about his illness, and promised to reveal more in due time.

Today was that time.

He tweeted a photo of a statement that began with the quote “Life is under no obligation to give us what we expect”.

He then revealed the diagnosis.

Such rare tumors are “abnormal growths that begin in specialized cells and can occur anywhere in the body”.

Irrfan did not say where his tumour was, but he did dismiss previous speculation that his was in the brain.

He reminded that NEURO is not always about the brain
