A NATION DISGUSTED WITH NO ACTION AND CHILDISH BANTER

A NATION DISGUSTED WITH NO ACTION AND CHILDISH BANTER

Local politicians must know by now that the country is fed up, tired and perhaps angry with the constant bickering, nitpicking and stupidity of what passes for parliamentary debate, government, governance, formal opposition and leadership.

We long ago reached the level of childish banter, puerile humour, and the downright rude and insulting exchange of words among those we elect to leadership positions.

Currently, there are a few formal Opposition members, and even some FORMER members who see themselves as activists in the public interest, constantly yapping like tiny poodles, at every god-damned thing.

And the situation is no different when fortunes are reversed and another party or an incarnation of one, is running the show. For that is what it is, and has been for far too long. A pappy-show really. A mockery of the intelligence of the population.

Thats why at the start, we described the country as tired and fed up……increasingly angry and frustrated daily, that while national problems remain unsolved, there’s this noise, this yapping of little men and women. Making no real contribution, no focus on solutions to the issues plaguing society.

And then of course, there are the mischief makers. Those who know full well how things go, having themselves been in government. Or worse, there are the academically well-trained, but nevertheless ignorant professionals who stoke racial discord and/or bitter dis-harmony.

Really, the noise is becoming unbearable. How do we escape the madding political crowd. Some are seeking salvation in third parties, others are leaving or thinking about it, or making plans to leave the chaos.

With the economy hurting many at base level, and crime rampant across the country, our so-called leaders, and public figures ought not to be fanning embers of uprising.

Today we say….”stop these dangerous games or none will inherit the throne”.
