Calls made for gradual increase of retirement age to 65

The retirement age should be gradually increased from 60 to 65 over a 35 year period, starting 2025. This suggestion came from two presenters speaking at the T&T Chamber of Industry and Commerce this morning. The view was shared by one of NIB’s executive manager Feyaad Khan and Social Security Expert Derek Osborne. Calls to the Finance Minister for a response went unanswered.
