The government is still not confirmed the owner of the overturned barge in Tobago, despite having documents and information that indicate connections to it.

Prime Minister Dr. Keith Rowley today told the Parliament that the information in their possession was not solid enough, legally, to use in court, and therefore the hunt continues.

Dr. Rowley did not say what the documents and information stated.

The PM said foreign agencies are helping to track the ownership of the barge and tugboat, including through the use of satellite imagery.

The overturned barge led to the leakage of an oily substance that affected the coastline of Tobago and the Caribbean Sea.
