Police in the North-Central Division have seen an increase in the theft of motor vehicles.

At the TTPS Weekly Media Briefing, Acting Senior Superintendent Brian Ramphal said that there have been challenges.

He explained some of the reasons behind the thefts.

Acting Senior Superintendent Ramphal said his officers have been able to recover 98 stolen vehicles – a 22% recovery rate.

Meanwhile, Superintendent Terrance Nowbutt reminded of the most stolen vehicle brands in the North-Central Division.
