ODPM activates National Emergency Operation Centre, will meet with stakeholders at 1pm

The ODPM  has activated the National Emergency Operation Centre.

It is due to meet with key first responder stakeholders at 1pm to review pre-impact preparedness for Trinidad and Tobago.

It reminds that the expected bad weather could see gusty winds, street/flash flooding, landslides/landslips and disturbance in sea conditions.

As such, citizens are urged to take the necessary precautions to protect life and property.

A list of safety tips can be found on its website, including a disaster preparedness checklist.

Citizens are encouraged to download the ODPM’s mobile app “Disaster Ready” to obtain emergency contact numbers, shelter location information and receive alerts of new information bulletins from the TTMET Office.

Those affected by this upcoming inclement weather can also contact the ODPM’s Customer Care Centre at 511.
