Chaguanas businesses advised to work with Govt for economic growth
Businesses in Chaguanas should work with Government to achieve sustainable economic growth.
That was the advice from the Trade Ministry’s acting Permanent Secretary, Frances Seignoret, as she spoke at the recent opening of the new Chaguanas Chamber office.
It is located on Cumberbatch Street, and according to her, the location is ideal to better service the business community in Central Trinidad.
Ms Seignoret commended the Chamber’s President and also urged members to become more dynamic, innovative and export-oriented drivers of growth.
This she noted is crucial especially in the face of sluggish global trade, with countries seeking new relationships with Commonwealth markets.
Chaguanas Chamber President Richie Sookhai, in his remarks, made a similar call for members to work with Govt to effect positive change in the Borough.
He assured as well that the Chamber would continue to advocate for issues that affect the business community.
