Smith’s 68 helps Kowloon to Hong Kong Blitz title
Dwayne Smith’s 68 for the Kowloon Cantons helped the side to victory in the final of the Hong Kong T20 Blitz.
Batting first against City Kaitak, Kowloon benefited from an opening partnership of 149 between Smith and skipper Babar Hayat (76).
They made 222/3 in 20 overs – Rayad Emrit with 0/35 in 4 overs was the most economical bowler.
In reply, Marlon Samuels, who made 32 from 21 with the bat, took 2 wickets.
His bowling helped the Cantons bowl Kaitak out for 197 inside the final over.
Nicholas Pooran made 28 from 15 while Kyle Coetzer topped scored for Kaitak with 63.
