No data or Wifi needed for new tourism app

You don’t need to have data or Wi-Fi to use the new tourism app that is being launched next week.

That’s according to the Tourism Ministry which says the application will be 100 percent offline.

Titled ‘Go Trinbago’, it is a free and bilingual application which gives users information on events, sites, attractions, restaurants and accommodation in T&T.

Users can develop a travel itinerary, review places of interest, rate their experiences and recommend new places, as well as capture and post photos.

Also being launched on Tuesday is the ‘LIME 365TT’ initiative.

It is a project to promote the authentic events and festivals in T&T with an events calendar within a message.

The launch takes place at NAPA in Port of Spain and begins at 6pm.
