Dwayne Bravo will mentor teams in the Knight Riders franchise from the 2025 season.

Apart from Kolkata Knight Riders, he will work with Trinbago Knight Riders in CPL, Los Angeles Knight Riders in MLC and Abu Dhabi Knight Riders in ILT20.

Knight Riders CEO Venky Mysore said of Bravo, “His deep desire to win wherever he plays, his extensive experience and knowledge will benefit the franchise and all players immensely.”

Meanwhile, Bravo said having played with and against the Knight Riders in various leagues, he had a lot of respect for how they operate.

“This is the perfect platform for me as I transition from playing to mentoring and coaching the next generation of players,” he added.

The announcement comes less than a day after Bravo announced his retirement from all cricket.

In an Instagram post yesterday, he lamented that while he would have loved to continue, his body could no longer endure the pain, the breakdowns, and the strain.

The move will also mark the end of Bravo’s run with Chennai Super Kings in the IPL: he played with the team until 2022, and joined as bowling coach from 2023.
