Mayaro MP Rushton Paray says he welcomes direct communication with his UNC colleagues and will not engage them through the media.

Recently, Mr Paray called for the UNC to set a date for its internal elections, while also speculating about possible attempts to delay the poll.

Since then, there has been public criticism from a number of the party’s MPs.

In a brief statement, the Mayaro MP says he appreciates the attention given to the matter, adding that he remains loyal and dedicated to the UNC.
