Trinidad & Tobago holds the world 28th most powerful passport for 2023, allowing citizens to access 150 out of 227 destinations around the world, visa-free.

This was highlighted in the Henley Passport Index, which finally has a new number one, with Singapore knocking Japan off the top.

Singapore citizens can visit 192 destinations visa-free.

In second place Germany, Italy and Spain citizens can visit 190 destinations without having to apply for a visa.

And the world’s least powerful passport comes from Afghanistan with persons there only able to visit 27 destinations visa-free.

T&T shares the 28th spot with Antigua and Barbuda, with several other Caribbean countries holding more powerful passports.

For instance, Barbados is at number 21, with 163 countries available visa-free, while Bahamas is 23rd, St. Kitts and Nevis 24th and St. Vincent and the Grenadines 25th.
